INTRODUCTION AND INTERPRETATION

Unless otherwise stated, capitalized terms used herein have the meaning ascribed to them in the General Terms and Conditions of the Master Services Agreement.

PLEASE READ THESE SUPPLEMENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SSL SERVICES CAREFULLY, AS IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.

These certificate services terms and conditions (the “SSL T&Cs”) supplement the General Terms and Conditions of the Master Services Agreement when you purchase certificate services from us and is made effective as of the date of electronic acceptance.

These SSL T&Cs sets forth the terms and conditions of your use of the various SSL certificate services (“Services”) that we offer as a reseller through our chosen certification authority.  You understand that we do not provide the Services, but are reselling the Services of our chosen certification authority – Sectigo (www.sectigo.com).

Your electronic acceptance of these SSL T&Cs signifies that you have read, understand, acknowledge and agree to be bound by these SSL T&Cs, which incorporate by reference (i) all relevant agreements, statements, practices and forms set forth by the certification authority we are using (Sectigo); (ii) the General Terms and Conditions of the Master Services Agreement provided, however, that if there are any inconsistencies between these SSL T&Cs and the General Terms and Conditions of the Master Services Agreement, these SSL T&Cs shall govern; and (iii) any limits, disclaimers, and/or other restrictions presented to you on our website (the “Site”).

You acknowledge and agree that (i) we and the certification authority we are using (Sectigo), can in our and its sole and absolute discretion, change or modify these SSL T&Cs, and any policies, documents, statements, practices, forms, and/or agreements which are incorporated herein with respect to the subject matter of these SSL T&Cs and the Services to be provided hereunder, at any time, and such changes or modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting to the Site, and (ii) your use of this Site or the Services made available at the Site and which you are continue to use after such changes or modifications have been made (as indicated by the “Last Revised” date at the top of this page) shall constitute your acceptance of these SSL T&Cs as last revised.  If you do not agree to be bound by these SSL T&Cs as last revised, do not use (or continue to use) this Site or the applicable Services.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

We offer, through Sectigo, various SSL certification services.  Each of these are further described below and are governed by individual agreements with a specific set of terms and conditions referenced and incorporated herein, as well as various practice and policy statements that govern the services generally. All Services are governed by Sectigo’s Certification Practice Statement. To the extent applicable, Services may also be subject to terms and conditions of Sectigo’s Relying Party Agreement.

SSL Certificates.  Any SSL certificate you ask us to purchase from Sectigo for you is subject to and is intended for its specific use as described in the Sectigo Certificate Subscriber Agreement.  For Premium (EV) certificates, there is an extensive vetting process that starts with an in-depth application that will require you to provide details about your business, such as registration number, incorporation or registration agent and any relevant jurisdiction information.

If you are using an SSL certificate, Sectigo will generate and securely store a corresponding private key.  For security reasons, at no time will we or Sectigo release your private key, even per your request. If you wish to export your SSL certificate for use outside of Authentic Web’s Services, request a re-key of the SSL certificate – your current SSL certificate will become invalid and Sectigo, upon your request to Sectigo directly, will issue a new certificate for use outside of Authentic Web’s Services.

SSL Certificates Term.   CAB Forum requires that all SSL certificates issued on or after March 1, 2018 be no more than 825 days valid. As such, Sectigo will either itself or we will re-validate and re-issue certificates that are longer than 2 years as long as the SSL certificate has an active subscription.

We will display the SSL Certificates coming up for renewal in the Domain Name Asset Management system. To renew, you will be required to explicitly renew the certificate prior to expiry if you want to maintain the certificate on the fully qualified domain name.
